The Little Girls Room

The Little Girls Room
These girls are what every comedy director wants. Fearlessness. We can ask them to say almost anything and they will say it. It’s good to be the writers. They come from very different backgrounds and each bring their own special twist to the roles they are given.

Kandice Shaw

Kandice Shaw Kandice Shaw is a St. Louis native who has many aspirations and goals; however, film acting has always been on the top of the list. All throughout her high school and college years she flexed her creative muscle by participating in theater/drama classes, on-camera/auditioning techniques, voice, etc. She was signed to a talent agency at age 17; however, decided to focus on her education first and set out to receive a degree in Communication Arts. Afterwards, her passion for film acting was rekindled when she was by chance cast as an extra in the Jason Reitman film “Up in the Air”. This led to other appearances in independent films, such as “Game of the Year” by 88 mm productions and as the lead female in a local thriller. Being interested in all things creative she took some classes taught by Bill Chott (The Ringer, Rum Diaries) at the Improv-Trick and is now making her mark using her “Top of the Line” sales techniques as the recurring character, “Chastity” on BlackBookBerry.com.

Amanda LaPlante

Amanda LaPlante Amanda LaPlante is an active partner at Live Image LLC, a St. Louis marketing firm. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication. She is a devoted mother of one and a devoted wife of one (different ones, this isn’t West Virginia). That’s right. We know what you were thinking. We see your mind’s eye. Amanda has no previous acting experience but has kept busy as a promotion and print model for the last decade. She’s one upon whom we can count to be “all in.” When we asked Amanda for “severe” she won us over for the part of Rachel, Doogleheimer & Schmitt’s compliance officer.

Regan Gillam

Regan GillamRegan Gillam is a 19 year-old actress. Ever since seeing the movie “Grease,” she has been in love with acting, singing, and John Travolta. She did theatre all throughout high school including both plays and musicals. After graduating high school she decided to take a chance and pursue acting as a career. Her favorite thing about acting is the chance to make people laugh which is perfect for playing her distsy/oblivious character Mallory. She hopes to one day move out to California and to become a movie star. She also hopes to have at least two academy awards and a box office hit movie in the next 5 years. A girl can dream can’t she?

Emma Ve

Sofia Mitchell

Sofia Mitchell
Sofia shelved two magna cum laude degrees to join the rat race of entertaining others. Why oh why would anyone do such a thing? Call it stupidity..or passion… Courage or ignorance. Perhaps it’s a mixture of all those things but honestly, it gets down to one thing:

*pause*

…well when she figures it out she’ll let us know. Visit her page at www.SofiaMitchell.com for updates and links to other projects she’s working on.

Karie Ann Duggan

Karie Ann Duggan KarieAnn was introduced to acting shortly after the invention of the wheel, when a teacher handed her an Erma Bombeck monologue and told her to memorize it, as she would be representing the school at a speech competition on Saturday. At Catholic school, you do what you’re told, don’t ask questions and accept your fate. She walked away, that Saturday, with a blue ribbon and a new love. The years brought about a series of plays, endless entertainment with a video camera and creative friends, a music video and some radio and T.V. commercials. The moral of the story here? Appreciate your teachers, sometimes they see more in you than you do.

Tracie Henson

Tracie Henson Tracie is a big believer in natural health and therefore treats her skin with endangered panda oil. When not on the set of BlackBookBerry portraying the part of Kitty, the HR Intern, she spends her time communing with nature and the Hare Krishna. She openly rejects the traditional view of God as that of Barry Gibb-like and instead subscribes to the notion that the visage of Daddy Warbucks with a slinky on the side of his head is more divine. She showed up to this role without a bio, without a Klue (she even spelled it with a capital “K”), and without the belief that I’d write her bio if she didn’t write one for herself. :p
