Douglas Briggs, a co-founder and partner of NBI LLC, hails from the great state of Texas, where he grew up with an oil well in his front yard, enough Legos to build anything he wanted, and J. R. Ewing and H. Ross Perot as neighbors. He and his wife are proud parents of a young son, whom Douglas thinks looks mostly like him and also a little like the grumpy old men who play dominoes at the park.
Douglas sports a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from some tiny (and expensive) liberal arts college on the East Coast, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from a Big 10 university that does pretty well at football most of the time. Despite this fact, his personal version of hell involves debugging Fortran code for large financial systems while Gene Simmons whips him with rusty barbed wire and shouts to "flex those abs!" Maybe he meant Richard Simmons …
Douglas has been writing comedy and speaking in front of large groups of people for over 25 years. He hopes someday to live in a drafty castle in Scotland and become crotchety and smoke a smelly old pipe. His hobbies include men’s leadership training, astronomy, ham radio, and creative writing. He leads a wonderful life, and you should be as lucky as he is. Really. I’m not kidding about this last part.
